SECOND-HAND ICs

There is usually a number of boats available on the second hand market. A few appear in Yachts and Yachting, but a more complete list can be obtained from the Secretary or on the for sale page.

BUILDERS AND SUPPLIERS

There are a number of builders and suppliers who will provide the items necessary to build a complete canoe. Most ICs are completed by their owners, either working from a bare shell or from a more advanced state.

RAZORBACK BOATS:
From the highest specification boats to kits at any stage. Also sliding seats, carriages, foils etc. All aspects of IC building and repair covered, including fitting out, alloy fabrication, anodising (most colours), spraying, painting, masts, sails, fittings, epoxies and glues.

There are a few moulds in private hands, and arrangements will have to be made with the individuals concerned for their loan.

SUPPLIERS
Masts: Usually Proctor Kappa or Lambda, Superspars M7. Carbon masts are often seen at the front of the fleet, made by Angell, Brown/Ellis, Claridge or Proctor. Also some one-offs by professional or amateur builders.

Sails: Almost any sailmaker will make a set of sails if you ask. The following sailmakers (in alphabetical order) feature among the faster boats: Hyde, Morrison, Orange, Rush, Sanders.

Foils: Most foilmakers (e.g. Linton, S&T, Milanese) will supply you with a set of foils to whatever design you fancy. Alan Powell of Quicksilver Foils (see above) is an experienced IC sailor.
